The Gladstone Hospital provides 24 hour access to the Emergency Department, two operating theatres and a minor procedure room, 29 bed medical/surgical ward (including palliative care), 14 bed gynae/maternity ward with four birthing suites (including one facility for water birthing), eight bed paediatric ward, four bed high dependency unit, three trolley and five chair day surgery unit, three chemotherapy chairs and a four chair satellite renal dialysis unit.

The satellite renal unit, funded by the Queensland Gas Corporation, operates six days a week and means suitable patients no longer have to travel to Rockhampton for their dialysis.

Orthopaedic services have improved with an increase in sessions provided by surgeons visiting from Rockhampton. In addition, a weekly Telehealth clinic links patients with specialist staff in Rockhampton, eliminating the need for suitable patients to travel.

Gladstone Hospital provides health programs that extend into the community, including the Midwifery Group Practice and Hospital in the Home.
