Established in 1998, Sunshine Coast Haematology and Oncology Clinic, was the first free-standing day-hospital in Queensland, specifically designed for patients receiving treatment for haematology (blood) and oncology (cancer) conditions.
Medical Oncologists and Clinical Haematologists, together with specialised nursing staff and a skilled administration team provide expert and personalised care in a pleasant and caring environment. Our dedicated team work closely with other health professionals and health disciplines to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to your care.
From the time you are first welcomed at the Clinic, you are cared for in a relaxed and comfortable environment, more akin to your own home setting than a traditional hospital environment. In fact, we pride ourselves on providing a relaxing and positive environment with the focus being the patients and their family or support team. Staff ensure the best interests of the person undergoing treatment are respected. We encourage people to empower and involve themselves, as much or as little, as they wish during treatment.
We welcome not only residents from the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, but also people who are holidaying in the region. In the past we have had the pleasure of caring for interstate and overseas visitors, allowing them to continue their treatment while visiting our region. If you know of somebody who may benefit from the use of this service, ask them to contact our administration team to enquire about continuing their treatment whilst in our area.
